Scrubbed

The name is accounting shorthand: a "scrubbed" set of records is one that is clean, organized and accurate. Gani Laguisma and Mark Pineda met while working at one of the Big Four in the United States and started the firm in 2012, and it now counts around 1,100 professionals, known internally as Scrubbees. Vince De Leon is chief executive of Scrubbed Advisory LLC. The work is confined to middle market companies and the founders, CEOs and CFOs who run them, with biotech and clean tech among the industries the firm returns to most. It puts its own count at nearly 1,500 entities over thirteen years. An engagement can begin with day-to-day accounting and extend to a full controller function, and the same firm handles the audit, the corporate and individual returns, and technical questions like revenue recognition. Each client works with one named senior professional who owns the relationship.
