Trading now as Walpole Advisors, the Goleta practice operates as part of the national Platform Accounting Group network and puts its own history at more than four decades. Jason Machgan, CPA, spent the earlier part of his career on audit and tax work for small businesses with a focus on construction before becoming a partner at Walpole & Co., LLP; he now works with owners across the whole arc of a company's life, from the logistics of starting up through to the planning a sale requires. John Bostwick, who joined in 2006, handles individual, fiduciary and corporate taxation. Anita Peca, CPA/PFS, came to the firm in 1998 and works in taxation alongside financial planning.
