AdminBooks works entirely in QuickBooks Online and entirely remotely, headquartered in Placerville but taking on service-based businesses across the country — consultants, contractors, real estate professionals, dental practices, churches and nonprofits, equestrian businesses — rather than retail or inventory-based ones. Books that are messy or years behind get cleaned up or caught up first. Payroll is run by the same team that keeps the books, filings included, and posts straight back into the QuickBooks file.

Returns are reviewed by a second preparer and walked through line by line in a screen-share meeting before e-filing, with CPAs, Enrolled Agents and QuickBooks ProAdvisors on the team. Tax season runs first-in, first-out: information arriving April 1 means an extension.
