Trading now as Bradford Cox & Madhavani, the practice dates itself to 1956 and works from Palmdale with offices in Ridgecrest and Tehachapi. It has taken on the client books of two other CPAs — Duane Moats of Tehachapi and James O. Fourr of Lancaster — and is continuing their tax preparation work. Licensed in California as a CPA firm and also registered as an investment advisory firm, it carries the personal side well past filing season: retirement and estate planning, elder care, wealth management. A substantial part of the tax practice is resolution rather than return preparation — IRS liens and levies, wage garnishment, unfiled returns, payment plans, innocent spouse relief. For businesses the work runs from bookkeeping and payroll up to part-time CFO engagements, with reviews and compilations, internal controls, succession planning and litigation support.
