Jasmin Baros founded JB Bookkeeping & Taxes in 2016, after a stretch she puts at more than 25 years as office manager and senior bookkeeper for a local construction union office. Construction companies are still on the books, alongside nonprofits, barbers, hairstylists and other beauty professionals, and medical spas. Business returns are her stated specialty; the individual work runs to self-employed filers, rental property owners, investors and retirees.

The ongoing support is closer to a small back office than a ledger service — A/P and A/R with monthly reconciliations, payroll and benefit administration, job costing, monthly and quarterly sales tax reporting, and HR questions tied to labor law. Estate and trust returns, tax planning and quarterly estimates are handled too, and notary work is available in the office or mobile. Financial consulting runs through a partnership with the Wealth Coaches Co. A second number reaches an East Bay office, and out-of-state clients are taken on.
