Cynthia Venkler founded the practice in 1994, three years after obtaining her CPA license in North Carolina and following work at big-8 firms auditing banks, construction companies, car dealerships and nonprofits. She still takes on projects that sit outside accounting proper — one involved interviewing a client's key personnel and recommending how roles and job descriptions should be restructured. Mark Jackson, a Faulkner University business graduate, joined as chief operating officer in August 2022, and the staff also includes bookkeepers alongside retired CPAs and enrolled agents.

Return work covers Forms 1040, 1065, 1120 and 1120S, with rental real estate and self-employment among the areas named. Bookkeeping runs on QuickBooks, QBO or Xero, with reporting from monthly to annual and on-site work for clients who want the firm as a back office.
