Bookkeeping has been the base of the practice since 1994, when Grace Del Rey started SGBS as a boutique bookkeeping and consulting firm in Los Angeles; QuickBooks cleanups and reconciliation projects later widened into financial strategy and coaching. The monthly work covers bank and credit card reconciliation, profit and loss and balance sheet reporting, receivables and payables, payroll submission, California and multi-state sales tax filing, and coordination on SEC financial reporting. Year-end documentation and tax prep go to the client's own CPA or to one of theirs. Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors handle setup, chart of accounts, cleanup of messy books and private or team training, with remote access for clients elsewhere in the country. Kathryn Pringle has been with the firm more than 15 years; Cindy Salazar and Juanita D'Andrea each put their bookkeeping experience at around 40 years, Juanita having started in her parents' Los Angeles restaurant.

Clients range from solopreneurs and creative professionals to nonprofits, medical offices, e-commerce and real estate businesses, and companies generating over $20M a year. Grace Del Rey, a certified sound bowl healer, also runs money-mindset courses and memberships under the Saving Grace Money Method.
