MSA Accounting

Two people run the practice. Moe Moghni, the principal, took a BS in Accounting in 1997 and worked as a corporate controller before moving into public accounting; he puts his time in the profession at more than 18 years, the last 12 of it on public accounting and tax, and he belongs to the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs. Mugdha "Maggie" Utturkar, a CRTP with a Master in Business Accounting, handles bookkeeping, payroll processing and office administration. Work is done in English, Farsi and Hindi.

Engagements are scoped to whichever role a client needs filled — tax preparer, accountant, controller, business advisor, or the entire accounting department — and can be scaled up in busy periods and back down afterwards. Alongside tax planning and returns for individuals and small to mid-sized businesses, the firm takes on IRS audit representation, entity selection and restructuring, estate and trust planning, sales tax, and QuickBooks and cloud accounting setup.
