Infor CloudSuite Financials (Infor FSM) Review: Cloud ERP for Service Industries

Infor CloudSuite Financials is now sold as Infor FSM, a cloud ERP for hospitals, public bodies and service firms. What it does and who it suits.

The product once marketed as Infor CloudSuite Financials is now sold as Infor FSM, short for Infor Financials & Supply Management. It is a multi-tenant cloud ERP, descended from Lawson S3, that Infor builds for service industries: healthcare, the public sector, hospitality, financial and professional services, and construction and engineering. It is a candidate for a hospital system, a government body or a large services organization, and particularly for one already running Lawson. It is not a manufacturing system, not a small-business product, and it has no published price.

The short version: consider Infor FSM if you are a large service-sector organization, especially a Lawson customer planning its move before Lawson V10 maintenance ends on December 31, 2030. If you make products, you want Infor’s manufacturing ERP, CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine), which is a different product.

CloudSuite Financials, FSM and the naming problem

Infor’s product names have moved several times, and they cause most of the confusion around this product.

  • Infor FSM is the current name. Infor’s product page is titled “Infor FSM: Purpose-built cloud ERP for service industries.” Infor says Lawson S3 “was originally developed by Lawson Software in the 1990s,” that Infor acquired Lawson in 2011, and that the product was “renamed Infor Financials & Supply Management in 2016.”
  • “CloudSuite Financials” now points to FSM. Infor’s older CloudSuite Financials resource page now serves a brochure titled “Infor Financials & Supply Management overview.” The FSM product page itself does not use the CloudSuite Financials name.
  • Industry “CloudSuite” names sit on top of FSM. Infor says that although “outward messaging may highlight industry ERP branding, like CloudSuite Healthcare or CloudSuite Public Sector, the Infor Financials & Supply Management name continues to appear in your user interface, support documentation, and system materials.” So a hospital sold “CloudSuite Healthcare” may be running FSM underneath.
  • CloudSuite Corporate has no current page. Infor’s website no longer has a product page for CloudSuite Corporate, and Infor does not say what, if anything, replaced it. If a proposal names it, ask the seller which current product it means.

Infor FSM is not CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine)

The easiest mistake with Infor is to confuse its finance-led ERP with its manufacturing ERP. They have different histories and different buyers.

Infor still keeps a live SyteLine page and says “Infor SyteLine and Infor CloudSuite Industrial form the core foundation of Infor’s manufacturing solutions.” If you make products, read our guide to the best ERP for manufacturing, which covers CloudSuite Industrial, rather than this review.

What Infor FSM does

Infor describes FSM as providing “the industry-specific depth that healthcare, public sector, hospitality, financial services, and other service-focused organizations need to manage resources, ensure accountability, and drive efficiency.” It also lists airlines and sports and arts organizations among its users.

Finance and supply management in one system

The “supply management” in the name is the point. FSM combines the ledger with purchasing and inventory, which matters to an organization such as a hospital or a public agency that buys and stocks goods even though it sells services. Infor says FSM includes “process catalogs with thousands of integrated finance, supply chain, and HR workflows built for service industries,” and that its process automation works “across purchasing, inventory, and financial operations.”

Infor’s wider finance line lists multi-ledger and GAAP accounting, payables and receivables, fixed assets, cash management and taxation, consolidations and intercompany accounting. Infor also says “All Infor ERPs include financial and supply chain management capabilities as core components.”

Analytics, AI and documents

Infor lists role-based user experience, generative AI, integrated document management, embedded analytics (KPIs and dashboards), process automation and built-in compliance controls such as access controls and audit trails. Integration runs through APIs and Infor’s integration platform.

What is sold separately

Infor sells several related products separately rather than inside FSM: Infor EPM for planning and performance management, Infor GRC for governance and controls, Infor Expense Management, Infor Birst for analytics, and human capital management and payroll. Infor’s FSM page mentions HR workflows, but benefits administration, recruiting and payroll are not listed as FSM capabilities, so ask which HR functions come with FSM and which need Infor’s separate HCM and payroll products. Infor also sells a different financials product, Infor SunSystems Cloud, which it aims at financial services, hospitality, nonprofits and energy companies.

Cloud delivery

Infor describes FSM as “next-gen, multi-tenant” and says it is “delivered on AWS” on the Infor Industry Cloud Platform.

The Lawson migration question

For Lawson customers, FSM is less a new purchase than the next step Infor has set out for them. Infor says “Infor Lawson V10 maintenance is planned through December 31, 2030” and tells customers to “work with their customer success team to plan migration to Infor FSM.” An organization running Lawson V10 has a deadline and a vendor-recommended destination, but it is still a new system to implement, and it is worth running a competitive evaluation before accepting the default.

Infor FSM pricing

Infor publishes no price for FSM as of September 2026; the product page offers a contact form. No named independent source publishes a price range for FSM either, so treat any unsourced figure you see as a guess.

Infor has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Koch Industries since 2020, following Koch investments of more than $2.2 billion in 2017 and $1.5 billion in 2019, and claims more than 60,000 customers. The cost of an FSM project will come from three places: the subscription quoted by Infor, the implementation by Infor or one of its partners (Infor claims more than 2,000), and your own staff time for data migration and testing. Ask each bidder to separate those three in writing.

Limitations

  • No price, and no third-party range. You cannot size the cost before a sales process, and there is no independent figure to check a quote against.
  • Service industries only. Infor positions FSM for service organizations. Manufacturers should look at CloudSuite Industrial or other manufacturing ERP.
  • Not a small-business product. Nothing Infor publishes positions FSM for small businesses. Its named markets are hospitals, public bodies, airlines and large services firms.
  • Confusing names. CloudSuite Financials, FSM, Lawson S3 and industry CloudSuite brands can all describe the same system. Confirm the exact product in every quote.
  • Security attestations not published on the product pages. Infor’s security and compliance pages do not name SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001 or FedRAMP reports for FSM. Ask Infor for current attestation reports covering FSM if your auditors or regulators rely on them.
  • Payroll and full HR sit in other products. Infor lists HCM and payroll separately from FSM. Budget for them if you need them.

Who Infor FSM is for

Infor FSM fits when:

  • You are a hospital or health system, a public-sector body, a hospitality group or a large professional-services organization.
  • You buy and stock significant supplies and want purchasing and inventory in the same system as the ledger.
  • You run Lawson today and need a plan before V10 maintenance ends in 2030.
  • You are comfortable with a multi-tenant cloud system delivered on AWS.

How Infor FSM compares

  • Workday Financial Management: the most direct competitor for large service organizations. Workday says its subscription revenue is driven by the number of workers at each customer and the applications subscribed, and that its contracts typically run three years or longer.
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP: Oracle’s large-enterprise suite, covering financials, procurement, projects and supply chain. Oracle publishes no price for it.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance: unlike Infor, Microsoft publishes a per-user price, with minimum user counts set in its product terms.
  • Unit4: Unit4 ERPx is aimed at service-based organizations, naming professional services, the public sector, nonprofits and higher education.
  • SAP S/4HANA: SAP’s enterprise ERP, now marketed as SAP Cloud ERP.
